The wish to be taller/bigger, more beautiful and more intelligent is omnipresent. Everyone would like to be more than he or she is. This could mean that they are not being true to their real self, not honest with themselves?

Instead they are chasing an image which has been imposed by society and which will lead to more success in “the real world”. The attempt to be true to ones real self almost inevitably leads to a confrontation, a clash which can be very disturbing. It upsets ones equilibrium and can be painful. In our piece the protagonist is confronted with his inner voice, his true identity. One could call it the unconscious. This confrontation is difficult and disturbing. It upsets his equilibrium and might even end in a disaster. How to live in harmony with our subconscious. That is the question which we would like to explore. But how can we represent this internal conflict? How can we communicate and make tangible something which cannot be grasped, barely understood. This is the question which interests us and which we want to make “real” through the medium of dance.
